[tech] Fwd: [wheel] Annual RCD Testing

Hi all,
FYI that some time either early tomorrow morning, or Friday morning
(depending on Guild contractor schedules), RCD testing is being
conducted in Cameron Hall.
That will likely mean that there will be several temporary outages
(basically, anything without dual PSUs connected to separate circuits
will be rebooted), and the possibility of longer-lasting outages if any
machines fall over that aren't expected to.
Cheers,
James [MPT]

Hi James,
Just to confirm again – power will be cut completely for about 10 minutes.
It is late in the day so I’m unsure if the guys are still around but I
will see if they can do tomorrow morning, otherwise I will let you know
and they will do Friday morning. Is that all ok for you?
Thanks,

We shouldn't need anyone on site while the testing is done. A 6 or 7am
test tomorrow would probably be ideal for us.
Cheers,
James

Hi James,
Thank you. It does not look like I got a response from Gary.
We currently have bookings for 7:30-8:30am on Thursday morning.
Do you need one of your guys to be in attendance at all? If not, we
could do this 6 or 7am. If you do want someone to be in attendance,
please advise when the best time would be. Electricians are usually
onsite until 2pm.
Otherwise the currently penciled in time I have with them is 8am
Friday, pending confirmation from your team.
Thanks,

Hi Kelvin,
Looks like Gary's email might not have gone through, so I'll try
this from my personal account.
Thursday would be best for us, ideally in the morning (earlier is
better, if possible).
Cheers,

Hi UCC,
Just wanted to follow up on the email below.
Are you able to advise a good time to have this testing done?
Otherwise can you let me know if you’re happy for it to just go
ahead early morning?
Thanks,

Hi UCC,
We will be conducting the annual RCD Testing for Cameron Hall
this week.
As per usual, could you please advise when a suitable time to do
the testing will be? You will temporarily lose power to your
club room for up to 10 minutes.
Electricians can start early morning before anyone comes in, or
they can meet someone at a certain time and do the testing at a
specified time.
Please let me know and shout if you have any questions.
Thanks,
