[tech] Budget for new backup server (SPG)

Hi all,

As mentioned in previous emails, it's definitely time to upgrade our 
off-site backup capabilities.

There's a few different things we could do to get more storage 
installed, but one idea that's been raised is applying for the Special 
Project Grants from the Guild. The next round is opening soon, and the 
funding could go towards a new and improved setup. We could also roll it 
into an event, to showcase what we're doing and help anyone interested 
in setting up reliable backups/network storage.

[MLG] has expressed interest in writing up a grant application, but what 
we need is some plausible proposals for the new machine, and an 
approximate price list to go with it. Any help and recommendations that 
people can give would be appreciated.
