Hi Bob
I think Liebert is a pretty good brand.
I don't have any experience with this unit but if they are unused but
manufactured some time ago then I think the batteries will have rotted. I'd
find out the generic type and cost of batteries and bid based on replacing the
batteries if the units are maybe three years old or later.
The UPS isn't something to rely on if it's uncertain that it will hold up
under load.
If previous discussion is right and they go for $150 or similar then
re-battery still makes them a well priced unit. A new 15A outlet sounds like a
larger part of the cost!
