There doesn't seem to be anything with USB that's comparable. There's a
4-port desktop Uniclass with USB for the same price as the cheap 8-port
PS/2 one ($155) and a $969 8-port Belkin with USB.

We'll have to budget ~$100 for the cables of course - some of the cheap
KVMs don't come with any. The Uniclass cables actually seem quite cheap;
$12 for the short ones and $17 for the long ones (we should get a mix
of lengths, I reckon).

I've seen the active adaptors to let you plug in a PS/2 keyboard/mouse
into a USB "legacy-free" computer for $20-$30, probably should buy one
of those when we get a new machines.
