[tech] the scanner on nautilus

It does not work.  after much sacrificing  of chickens, it still makes
no move to being a nice little scanner.

does anyone know where the other scanners that were in the room have gone?

also, I remember hearing noises from the Waratah and Langsford residences that
the scanner aquired by Nick, Melissa, et al was going to be donated/returned
to the clubroom.  Is this true/going to happen?  i believe it is usb, which
means a usb capable machine in the clubroom .....  the mussel-workstation?
