Okay, I've got _everything_ important on the 4Gb. Happiness. 

The / partition was filled with useless crud like several XFree source 
packages, many kernel source trees we don't use anymore, etc.

The 9 is being pulled in a moment now none of the partitions have 
data not backed up on the 4. See /usr/local/moved-from-other-partitions/ 
or somesuch on mussel if something is missed.
