Hi - Grahame and I were just talking to you about the DEC/Compaq
Campuswide Software License Grant.

The way it works seems to be ;
 * UCS pays for the CSLG and support, upfront. In return they get
license PAKs to run the software.

 * Currently, the cost for departments is $100/annum/server and
$20/annum/workstation to contribute towards this.

 * From time to time, depending on demand, UCS buys an actual copy of
the latest system software and layered products on CDs, which are
available to the CSLG contributers. So the latest software we can
currently get is October 1998's, but UCS should be getting the current
one soon - if and when that happens, we'd get the upgrade.

We'd like to get one unlimited user UNIX server (in practice we might
have something like 25 logins at once) and one workstation. (UNIX or
just maybe VMS) That should be $120 for the year.

Nick.
