Your work matters Whether warning of severe weather or forecasting the daily weather, as a Bureau meteorologist you'll play a key role in the lives and businesses of everyday Australians. You'll have opportunities to work with the aviation, defence and maritime industries, forecast for emergency services or space weather, support Australia's Antarctic operations, and more. What you need to apply To be eligible for the program you'll need: a science, engineering or other STEM degree relevant studies in physics to first year level and applied mathematics to second year level.
